Objectives
After completing this course a learner will be able to undertake the production of good quality vermicompost rich in nutrients and organic components. A learner will be able to:
- Identify appropriate site and prepare bed for vermicomposting
- Inoculate earthworms in prepared unit and manage vermicomposting process
- Identify maturity of vermicompost and harvest using approved procedures
- Undertake basic entrepreneurial activities for small enterprise
- Develop managerial skill and competence to facilitate handling of the skill with efficiency
- Develop entrepreneurship skills to promote the vocation as microenterprise
- Maintain health and safety at workplace
